  • The Binsted Village Project

    Local villagers are engaged in surveying and enhancing their environment.  

    The exact location is confidential but it clearly has a relationship to Sector 4 in the map above.

    This project site in the midst of Binsted village includes all kinds of habitats; ancient woodland, flower-rich pasture, streams, ponds, gardens, hedges, trees, arable.

  • MAVES began its work as an environmental charity in 2015.  By 2018 we had grown to the size requiring registration with the Charity Commission.  We did so under the name Arun Countryside Trust CIO to allow a wider long term remit, supporting the Arun countryside's cultural heritage alongside its natural environment.  We will continue to use the name 'MAVES' for our natural environment work. 

    Partner organisations include Sussex Wildlife Trust and Arundel Agenda 21.
